We have monthly litter picks in either Crawcrook or Greenside. There are a few dedicated volunteers that help to keep Our Villages looking great. Sometimes the local schools and other volunteers get involved to support their local community.
Join our Gardening Army who are always busy looking after the flowerbeds in Crawcrook Park, the Pinfold, beside the Library and at Emma Hall. They are a true testament to Our Villages, giving their time regularly to improve the look and feel of our community.
Every year they prune and weed enough garden rubbish to fill hundreds of bags, all of which are collected promptly by the Council.
There are other roles for our volunteers such as helping out at our Pavilion Cafe, helping out at our regular events such Easter Egg Hunt, the Crawcrook Fair, Halloween and the Christmas Light switch on.
Maybe you are good at DIY, painting, arts and crafts. All skills are welcome.
Give as much time as you feel you can offer whether it is a one off or on a regular basis. There will never be any pressure on you when volunteering.
While helping your community you will also be making new friends.
